Hi Nursery!

Our Topic this half-term will be Transport and People Who Help us! 

This Week's learning:

This week we are learning all about Emergency Vehicles and the different types of jobs people have. On Monday we will be going outside and completing a Traffic Survey and talking about what different vehicles can see outside on the road.  We will be having a go at making marks with a purpose.  

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is 5 Little Firemen.  Makaton - FIVE LITTLE FIREMEN - Singing Hands

Maths

This week we will be focusing on shapes.  We will learning about our 2D shapes (square, rectangle, circle and triangle).  We will also be looking at beginning to use descriptive language, like pointy, curved, round and straight, corners). 

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be beginning our learning about Rhyme! This week we will be learning some new rhyming games like Silly soup and cross the river.

PE

In PE, we are going to be playing a new game called cups and saucers.  We will be learning to take our shoes and socks on and off too. 

Our Word of the Week is Shapes.  We will be learning to use new descriptive language.  

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.  

Monday 13th January, we will be starting our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session. 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
