Our Topic this half-term will be Transport and People Who Help us! 

This Week's learning:

This week we are learning all about the story 'Whatever Next', By Jill Murphy.  Here is the story link here - Whatever Next!.  This week we will be thinking building our own rockets and what rockets need to work.  

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is Five Little Monkeys jumping on the bed.  Five little monkeys jumping on the bed - BBC Teach  

Maths

This week we are learning about Pattern.  We will be going on a pattern walk this week to see what we notice?  Then in Maths, we will be learning to create our own simple patterns.  

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be continuing our learning about Rhyme!  This week we will be learning some new rhyming games like Odd One out, Silly Soup, and rhyming stories.  

Computing

On Tuesday 11th February 2025, is Internet Safety Day around the world, and we will be taking part ourselves.  We will be introducing the children to the character Smartie the Penguin.  We will be thinking about what happens when we see things on devices and what we should do.  At school, we encourage children to put down the device and speak to a trusted adult, whether that is at home or school.  Here is a link to the story - Smartie Penguin Story

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.  We will also be changing their Wordless reading books.

Monday is our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
