This week's learning:

This week we will be reading our next core book of Three Billy Goats Gruff.  Here is the link. The Three Billy Goats Gruff | Read aloud Picture Story Book  

We will be learning to build bridges and talk about our creations.  In Literacy, we will be learning to sequence the story and talk about why the troll could be so grumpy.  We will be learning to use our story-telling voices and pretend to be the Troll.  

PE 

On Wednesday, we will be going into the hall re-enacting the story on PE Apparatus. We will be learning to safely go over and under the equipment.  

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is There’s a Worm at the Bottom of the Garden 🐛

Maths

In Maths, we will be learning about shape and space.  This week we will be connecting our learning with our core book.  We will be creating our own routes and the children will be describing them.  

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be starting to learn about Alliteration and Initial sounds.  We will be thinking our the sound of our own names.  We will be reading books and playing games focussing on the initial sound in words.  

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.  We will also be changing their Wordless reading books.

Monday is our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
