Our class blog will be updated each half term, so keep a close eye on what we have all been up to.

What a busy half term! We have been having lots of fun practising our songs for the Christmas Extravaganza and we are looking forward to our yummy Christmas dinner and class party.

English

In English, we have been working on building our language skills by writing instructions for making a delicious hot chocolate drink and writing our persuasive letter. We thought hard about the different features that we could use within our writing.

We have also been looking at poetry and have enjoyed listening to T.S. Elliot poems about cats.

Maths

We have been working very hard on improving our times table skills this half term.

Science

In Science, we have been thinking about teeth and digestion. We counted our own teeth and thought about how best to look after them. We investigated different tooth types and looked at food chains.

Design and Technology

We have been designing and making our own bags during D and T. We have been working on running stitch and back stitch to sew our material.  

History

We have been learning about the Mayan people. We took part in a fabulous chocolate workshop which made the school smell amazing! 

French

In French, we have been learning how to talk about our families and the difference between the masculine and feminine words for the and my.
