Our Topic this half-term will be Transport and People Who Help us! 

This Week's learning:

This week we are learning all about the story 'Mr Gumpy's Outing' By John Burningham.  Here is the story link here.  Mr Gumpy's Outing Read Aloud.  We will be exploring floating and sinking.  

 

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is Row Row Row your boat.  Row, Row, Row Your Boat.

 

Maths

This week we are focusing on numbers to 3 in lots of different ways.  We will be learning that you can count objects, fingers and actions.  We will be learning to count with 1: 1 correspondence.  This means when you touch an object you say the number name.  

 

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be beginning our learning about Rhyme! This week we will be learning some new rhyming games like odd one out, Silly soup and cross the river.  We will be reading lots of books from the Oi Series! Click on this link.  Kes Gray's OI BOOK Collection

 

Computing

In Computing, we will be using our knowledge of numbers to have a go at a new programme on Mini-Mash called Maths City.  

 

Woodlands

Woodlands will be on Friday this week.  This week we will be continuing to get to know the woodlands.  

 

Our Word of the Week is floating.  We will be learning to use new descriptive language.  

 

 

 

 

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.  

 

 

 

Monday is our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session. 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
