Our Topic this half-term will be Transport and People Who Help us! 

This Week's learning:

This week we are learning all about the story 'Mr Gumpy's Outing' By John Burningham.  Here is the story link here.  Mr Gumpy's Outing Read Aloud.  This week we will be retelling the story and learning to sequence the story in order.  

 

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is London Bridge is falling down.  London Bridge is falling down - BBC Teach 

 

Maths

This week we are focusing on numbers numbers to 3.  We will be playing games such as 1 and not 1.  We will also be looking at matching numbers to the quantity.  For example, 2 spots to number 2.  

 

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be continuing our learning about Rhyme!  This week we will be learning some new rhyming games like odd one out, Silly soup and cross the river.  We will be reading lots of books from the Oi Series! Click on this link.  Kes Gray's OI BOOK Collection

 

PE

In PE, we will be learning to use apparatus.  We will be thinking about how to travel safely along the beams.  We will be learning to jump safely off equipment.  

 

Our Word of the Week is sequence.  We will be learning to sequence the story 'Mr Gumpy's Outing'.

 

 

 

 

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.  We will also be changing their Wordless reading books.

 

 

 

Monday is our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
