This week learning
This week we are focusing on the ‘Lost and found’ story by Oliver Jeffers. Listen to the story and talk about the characters, their feelings and how they link to the children’s own experiences. Use you phonics knowledge to write simple words from the story: sad, lonely; use them to write captions or sentences.
Phonics: recall sounds learnt so far: all Phase 2 and Phase 3 learnt so far; 'oa' sound and short 'oo' sound. Use them in words: sound it out blend it together; make sentences with the words.
Recall the sounds learnt so far, High Frequency and Tricky words.
