Activities for Friday
Go back over your story for Ottoline and spend time editing and improving. Get as much detail written as you can and finish off your story.
How to Train your Viking. Read through chapter 11 and the Epilogue. Look at the screens for your three questions and discussion focus then complete the Final Book Review. What did you think of this text?
Today in maths we are focusing on the 6 and 7 times tables only. I have included the screens but you are encouraged to complete practise activities that work for you.
Whether it is online, bingo, card games, written or practical.
Split your lesson time equally in half. Focus a short practise on the 6 times table then spend time completing the 6 x table challenge. In second half of lesson start with another short 7 x table practise before moving on the challenge sheets again.
Remember to use all the strategies we discussed for finding unknown answers.
Our goal is to improve recall of facts, speed and accuracy.
If you want to do extra practise on your times tables why not have a go at TTRS or one of these games: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/maths-games/7-11-years/times-tables
Complete a fitness based activity. This can be inside or outside if you can do it safely.
You could follow Joe Wicks and his daily workout
You could complete some fitness dance through either Just Dance or the Fitness Marshall
Or alternatively you could complete a workout through fitter future. You should all have your log ons (if not, drop us an emailJ)
Or if you have the opportunity you might like just run around the garden and play games in the glorious sunshine J
Think back over what we have learnt about circuits this term. What makes a circuit successful? How can they be improved? What are they used for? Create an information poster with all of the information you can on to teach your understanding to someone else.
If you feel like you’re missing your friends – why not send them an email?
On PurpleMash you can use: https://www.purplemash.com/app/links/2email#/inbox to send messages to anyone in Year 4.
We miss you and can’t wait to see you soon!
