Activities for Friday
To present a poem
Firstly, you need to read through your poem and edit it.
You are going to find a way to present your poem you can do this in one of two ways…
You can either write your poem out in best (either using your best handwriting or on a computer) and illustrate it.
Or you can try to perform your poem using the tone of your voice, hand gestures, facial expression – be creative!
Choose 10 words from the 3/4 word list and use them in a sentence. If you want to do a little extra you might want to do some rainbow writing, pyramid spelling, an acrostic poem or a nonsense story.
Today your reading activity is to write a diary entry as your favourite character. For instance, one of my favourites is Sirius Black from the Harry Potter series. I might write a diary of the day he escaped Azkaban or the day he saw Harry again when he was 13 or one of the adventures he had with the other Maurauders.
For today you will be continuing your work with calculations involving decimals. We will be finishing with subtraction using decimal numbers – like yesterday this may appear hard at first but just treat it as normal column subtraction and just remember to line up the decimal points! There is a PowerPoint that you used yesterday but today we are focusing on SUBTRACTION.

When completing your work there are 3 levels D which is the simplest, E which is a little more challenging and F which is hard. Ignore A, B and C as you did that yesterday.
If you finish all those and want a challenge there is an extension.

For Art we are going to carry on completing our work looking at different artists and the style they used. This week we will be looking at Antony Gormley I would like you to read through the PowerPoint to learn about his life and work. I would then like you to have a go at creating a piece of art in his style. The final art should be some kind of sculpture you may want to use salt dough, tin foil, lego, paper mache – be creative!

Rewind – walk backwards
Play – walk forwards
Eject – jump up
Pause – stop
You are going to be completing a circuit. Can you do the following?
20 star jumps, 5 burpees, a forward roll, wall sit for 20 seconds, 15 squats, 15 frog jumps.
Can you repeat this twice?
