Email Challenge of the Day:

Send us an email telling us what you're planning on getting up to over the weekend.

Read through your explanation writing and answer the questions:

What are the positive elements?

Which examples have been well explained?

What makes them clear for the reader?

What next steps would you or could you give yourself?

Can you edit your writing using the 3 hexagons to make it even better?

We know that the Rising Stars website isn't always working and that can make it really difficult to get your reading done.

Another website that you can use to access free ebooks is called Oxford Owl.

You can access all different book bands and select your own books.

An adult will need to set up a free account using their email address and then create a password.

Follow this link to set up an account on Oxford Owl:

Log onto your Rising Stars account and access one of the reading books that has been allocated to you. Aim to read for at least 15 minutes. Once you have finished the book you can take the quiz!

If you are unsure on how to access your allocated books, see the note on the Year 3 Class Page:

Today you will create you own word search. Use the template below to create your own word search using any words from the spelling patterns and rules this week.
We are still learning about lines today but this time we are focusing on vertical and horizontal lines. As you are learning you should notice similarities between these and parallel/perpendicualr lines from earlier in the week.

For our Science learning today, we are continuing our learning about light.

Watch the video or read through the lesson screens below.

Then complete the worksheet activity below.
