Sadly it has come to our attention several times throughout the term that some children are not using our toilets appropriately. Members of staff are regularly having to clean up the floor, walls and toilet seat after the children, and we are having to frequently remind them to flush. We would therefore be very grateful if you could speak to your child about appropriate toilet behaviour.
We are sad that we are having to ask you this as the children are certainly old enough to know how to use the toilets properly, but as the children are all sharing the toilets we don't want this to be an unpleasant experience for them.
Now that the weather is beginning to turn colder and wetter the woodland area and field are very muddy.
Please can you make sure that your children bring a coat and, preferably, wellies (but any outdoor shoe you don't mind getting muddy will do) in a carrier bag for our outdoor learning sessions on a Wednesday.

Every Friday in Year 2 we will be taking part in 'Drop Everything And Read', where the children are encouraged to spend 10 minutes reading whatever they like! On a Friday your child can therefore bring in to school a book, magazine, catalogue or comic book...anything they'd like to read! But don't worry if you forget, we have got plenty of fantastic and engaging books in our class library for the children to enjoy.
