A Bee-Bot is a simple and child friendly computer game. At school we have small robots that children can code to move in certain directions. They are a great tool for teaching controls, directional language and programming.
The Bee-Bot app is a great alternative to using the actual robot. It looks the same, has the same directional controls and works in the same way.
You can download the Bee-Bot app for free from the App Store.
Once downloaded go through how to play with your child, show them the different controls and how they work. Then begin at level 1 and allow your child to guide the Bee-Bot to the different identified locations on the game.
Continue to reinforce directional language by encouraging your child to say aloud the directions they are putting into the game.
