The Cavendish School Open Morning

Dear Parents,

We are taking this opportunity to write to you in order to offer you a personal invitation to attend the forthcoming Open Morning at the Cavendish School on Saturday 23rd September 2017 starting at 10am.

The Cavendish School has undoubtedly endured a difficult few years and it is evident that its reputation in the local community has suffered accordingly. However, over the past few months there has been a decisive change in direction and the new leadership of the school community is determined to establish a school based around fundamental values of "strong character", excellent behaviour and outstanding academic success. We have recently re launched the school and it is apparent that a relentless drive to raise standards and develop a school community based on kindness and consistent effort is already paying dividends. Students are showing a renewed determination to achieve and it is apparent that their self-esteem and confidence is climbing rapidly. Although there is considerable volatility in examination results nationally, it is very reassuring to note that The Cavendish School posted the best progress in English and Mathematics results out of all of the 76 secondary schools in Hertfordshire in this past summer’s examinations and we intend that this steep rate of improvement will accelerate going forward.

Consequently, we would be delighted to welcome you to attend our Open Morning on the 23rd September 2017 so that you can see for yourself a school which is rapidly growing in confidence and which now has a clear focus and direction to achieve lasting and sustainable success over the coming years.
