On Wednesday, children in Key Stage Two participated in African drumming workshops as part of our Black History Month celebrations. In addition to the important cultural learning from this exciting opportunity, it was fantastic to see the children work collaboratively, listen and show their musical ability. All who participated appeared to really enjoy the experience and we hope they returned home talking enthusiastically about it.
School Effectiveness Adviser
On Monday, we were visited by our new School Effectiveness Advisor from Hertfordshire County Council. Mrs Jackson and I had the absolute pleasure of visiting lessons across the entire school with her and it really was such a delight. She commented on how purposeful our learning environments are, how well the staff know and care for the children and the engagement and enjoyment the children show towards their learning. Well done Team Galley Hill!
Parent Consultations
Just a reminder that parent consultations are taking place on Wednesday and Thursday next week. If you have not yet made an appointment to see your child’s teacher, please do so as this is such an important opportunity to find out more about their learning. We look forward to seeing you there.
SPACE SEND Coffee Morning
Our SEND Coffee Morning with SPACE is taking place next Friday, 17th October. This will be from 9am.
