We very much hope that the children enjoyed their VE Day 80 celebrations yesterday. We felt it was so very important to mark this occasion and teach the children about the sacrifice of others for our freedoms today. I would like to say a massive thank you to all parents who contributed treats for the celebrations (we were overwhelmed by these!) and to Mrs Birtchnell for organising this event.
Year 6 Statutory Assessment Tests
We would like to say a huge good luck to our children from Year 6 who will be taking their SATs next week. You have all worked so hard and deserve to attain highly. We look forward to seeing you all for breakfast each day next week. To best support them, the break times in the morning may need to start a little earlier, or a little later depending on test start times. This has been explained to all the children.
Sharing Assemblies
Thank you so much to Team Coral for your interesting sharing assembly yesterday. I particularly enjoyed hearing about your trip to the Roman Festival at St Albans Abbey and the brain taxing decimals and fractions work you have been doing in Maths!
Our next sharing assembly will be presented by Team Ruby on Thursday 22nd May. Parents and carers wishing to attend should come to the school office for 9am.
