This week, we need to celebrate our children in Year 6! Throughout the week, they have been completing their end of Key Stage Two statutory assessment tests (SATs). They have completely blown us away by their attitude, their resilience and their positivity. We all know that exams can be very stressful, but our children have been simply brilliant. Thank you to the children and also to the staff and parents who have supported them so well. We are very proud of you.
Staff News
I am delighted to share with you that Mrs Meggitt gave birth to a baby girl, Ella Fern, on 30th April. I am sure you will all want to join me in congratulating Mrs Meggitt and her family.
Inset Day
Just a reminder that next Friday (23rd May) is an inset day so the school will be closed for all pupils. We look forward to seeing the children back in school on Monday 2nd June.
Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day
Tomorrow (Saturday 17th May) is World Neurofibromatosis Awareness Day. As we have children in school who cope each day with this illness, we like to raise awareness. Neurofibromatosis is a genetic disorder that causes tumours to form throughout the body. These tumours can cause difficulties in the sufferers’ day to day life. It is important that all of our children develop compassion and understand that not all disabilities are visible.

We very much look forward to Team Ruby sharing their learning in their class assembly on Thursday (22nd May). Parents and carers wishing to watch should please come to the school office for a 9am start.
