This week, our Hertfordshire adviser came into school to look at Maths across the school alongside myself and Miss Featherstone. It was a real pleasure to see how well the children were progressing with the scheme we started using in September – White Rose. It was particularly noted how well the children were using their reasoning skills and were able to articulate their answers and how they had reached them. With vocabulary development being another of our school priorities, this was a real joy to see. Well done Team GH!
Sharing Assembly
Thank you so much to Team Diamond for their fantastic sharing assembly this week. It was a pleasure to hear all about your learning. Our next sharing assembly will be presented by Team Jade on 26th June.
Switcheroo Transition Day
We are currently in the process of trying to organise staff deployment and classes for the next academic year. This is ahead of our transition day, which will take place in the morning of Thursday 10th July. On this day, the children will spend the morning with their class teachers for the next academic year. After school on that day, there will be an Open Classrooms event where your child can bring you to their new classroom so you can see where they will be and say hello to the new teacher.
Occasional Day
Just a reminder that school will be closed next Friday (20th June) for our occasional day.
SPACE SEND Parent/Carer Coffee Morning
Please come along to the next SEND Parent/Carer coffee morning on Friday 27th June. SPACE will be there to explain how they can help and support families.
A time to drink tea, coffee, eat biscuits and chat from 9am to 9.30am. Then meet the SPACE representative at 9.30am.
SPACE are an award winning Hertfordshire based charity supporting families of children and young people who are neurodivergent (Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Dyscalculia, Tourette’s and other neurodiverse conditions.) Whether you think your child may be neurodivergent, are going through the diagnostic process, or have already received a diagnosis you are in safe hands.
