Our brilliant start to Christmas festivities have very much continued this week! I was so incredibly proud to watch our Reception children perform the Nativity story. They did such a fantastic job of telling the story, along with the Makaton signs and with their singing too. I hope all who attended enjoyed the performance as much as I did.
We also held our Christmas crafts afternoon on Wednesday. I had the absolute pleasure of supporting in Year 2 for this event and we all had so much fun! I want to send an enormous THANK YOU to Miss Reardon who organises this event for us. It provides a wonderful opportunity for the children and also raises fund for our Christmas Present Bank to ensure that all of our children can have an enjoyable Christmas.
Herts Shining Communication Award
We are absolutely thrilled to announce that once again this week, Galley Hill has been recognised for an award. We have been awarded with the Herts Shining Communication Award from Hertfordshire Community NHS Trust. This is in recognition of our support for children presenting with speech, language and communication needs. We are so fortunate that Mrs Larner, one of our SENDCos, is also a speech and language therapist and we are so proud that her incredible work in this area has been recognised. Well done Mrs Larner and the whole team!
