There have been so many highlights to this week for me! I especially enjoyed the Year 3/4 Spring Performance. It was a real celebration of this time of year and I do not think anyone could have left feeling at all grumpy! Thank you so much to all of the children and staff involved and to all who supported the children by coming to watch.
We also had the first of our two Rock Steady concerts this week, which are always a joy. The confidence and cooperation I see when the children play together as a band astounds me every time! I cannot wait to see the remaining groups perform on Monday.
Also this week, Miss Rolph and I looked at History across the school and had the real pleasure of talking to groups of children about their learning in this subject. It was such a joy to hear their enthusiasm and knowledge about the past. We certainly have a school of budding historians!
Eid Mubarak to all of our Muslim families. We hope that you have had a lovely time celebrating today with your family and friends.
Staff News
I am delighted to now be able to share with you that our new deputy head from September will be Mrs Vicky Hewitt. She will be joining Galley Hill from Lime Walk Primary School where she has been deputy head for many years and we are very much looking forward to her sharing her expertise with us. We will be organising for Mrs Hewitt to come in at some point in the summer term so she can do a thorough handover with Mrs Reynolds and we can introduce her to the children.
Sharing Assembly
Another highlight of my week was the lovely sharing assembly shared by Team Sapphire this week. I particularly enjoyed the ukulele playing! Our final sharing assembly of the term will be presented by Team Turquoise on Thursday (26th March) at 9am. Parents and carers wishing to attend should come to the school office at this time.
End of Term
Just a reminder that next Friday (27th March) is the last day of term. We will be finishing at 2pm on this day.
