Message from Mrs Birch

Mrs Birch
Mrs Birch - Headteacher

Next week, our children in Year 6 will complete their statutory assessment tests (SATs). We know the children, supported by the Year 6 team and their parents, have worked so hard in order to do their very best in these tests and we wish them every success.

Outdoor Play and Learning (OPAL)

Next week, I have been asked to speak to the other primary headteachers in Dacorum about our work on the OPAL project. These are the changes we made to our break and lunch time provision over the last four years, for which we were awarded the Platinum accreditation last summer. It really is a great joy to see the children engaged in so much imaginative and physical play each day.

Thank you to all who continue to donate unwanted items for our children to play with. We are always looking for donations such as dressing up clothes, old suitcases and push chairs etc. Additionally, if anyone knows any companies that might be able to donate us pallets, scaffold boards or cable reels, we would love to receive them.

Parent Code of Conduct

Last week, the governing body completed our annual review of our Parent Code of Conduct, which can be found on our website: Parent Code of Conduct

The very vast majority of parents always treat all members of our school community with respect and we are very grateful for this. Thank you for modelling this to our children.

SEND Parent Coffee Morning Friday 15th May at 9am.

A reminder that a member of the ADD-vance team will be joining us to explain how they can support you and your family. Offering advice and support.

ADD-vance is a registered charity supporting families & professionals involved in the care of children with ADHD, Autism or a related condition in Hertfordshire. Their Specialist Coaches and Trainers run support groups, workshops, courses, training and coaching services.
