Phonics - Cake Bake Game

Today we are going to recap our rhyming skills.  After you have played along with me, you could make your own cake, going to the phonics play website here.

Maths

Today in maths we are going to practise our counting again but with Lego or Building Blocks! 
 

You will need:

• Lego/duplo /boxes
• Paper 
• Pen
• Sellotape

What you need to do:

• Write numbers from 0-10.
• Attach to your Lego or building blocks.
• Now you can put your Lego in order.
• Can you mix them up and resort them starting from Zero? 
   

We have attached a few ideas you could do with the Lego, most importantly though is having fun! 
We can’t wait to see what you did with your Lego on Tapestry later!

Topic - Gross Motor Skills

Today we are going to get moving and work those gross motor skills as well as a little bit of counting!

(I got the idea from seeing a lolly pop stick activity, hence why I talk about lollipops stick, but I didn’t have any!)

You will need:

• Paper 
• Pen
• Small container/bag
• Dice
• Scissors

What do you need to do:

• Cut little strips of paper 
• Write some exercises or moves on your paper (star jumps, knee lifts etc)
• Fold the paper and place in the tub

How to play:

• Choose a piece of paper from the tub or bag
• Roll the dice 
• Now you know how many times you need to do the exercise that you pulled out the tub

You are now ready to play the game, have fun!!
 

Creative Activity with Mrs Trueman

Today we are going to have a go at creating our own Colour Monster.  
 

You will need: 

• Paper
• Paint
• Pegs
• Cotton wool or something similar. 
   

Have a go at drawing your own Colour Monster then you can attach the cotton wool with the peg and stab!  This is great for fine motor and froggy fingers!
