Galley Hill Primary School, Hemel Hempstead. Galley Hill rated GOOD by Ofsted. Value of the Month - PERSEVERANCE

Today and tomorrow we are going to work on presenting your historical stories.  You should start your work today and then finish it tomorrow.

There are two main options for presenting your work.  If you use purple mash make sure you save your work into your folder - it isn’t a todo so it won’t save automatically!

Option 1 - Use To Publish + on Purple Mash.

To get into this programme you need to:

  1. Login to your Purple Mash account.
  2. Got to TOOLS
  3. Look in the ENGLISH section and click on To Publish +.
  4. Select the 'Blank Chapter Book' option.
  5. Watch the video tutorials (I had to do it in 2 sections) of how to use the programme to present your work.

The To Publish + allows you to type up your writing and add pictures to your work using paint or clip art.You could do all of your typing one day and all of your illustrations tomorrow.  You could do a bit of both each day.

Option 2 - to make your own mini-book.

You can make this any way you choose, maybe by using some paper and making your own pages, writing it into a lined notebook adding plain paper for your illustrations.

I have put a YouTube link below that will show you how to make a mini book.  You may need to use A3 size as the book she is making is quite tiny!

Today, make your book and then you could either do your front cover and a few of the pages.  This is 2 days work so don’t try to get it all done today!
