Phonics

Make a sound!

• Today we are going to have a look around our home for some different sounds.  
• You could use anything you wanted - keys, pots and pans, cups and spoons, recycling boxes, pots, water pouring into the bath, and bottles etc.   
• Can you think about how it sounds? You could use the words - jangling, crunch, splat, tinkle, rattle, scrape as well as your own sounds.  

Maths

• Today we are going on a number walk.
• What numbers do you think we will find?
• Look high and low when you go on your walk, you never know where a number may be hiding!

Topic

Harrow Fire Station visit

Mrs Swaine went to visit Harrow Fire Station. She was lucky enough to have a tour around the station to see where the firefighters work, eat and where their fire trucks are kept. 
When Mrs Swaine arrived the Red Watch firefighters were out on an important job but they came back in time for Mrs Swaine to see them. While Mrs Swaine was there they got another shout and had to go back out to help people in the community. 
While they were out Mrs Swaine had a look around and even tried on some of their uniforms and had a go on the hose!
