Hello Team Year 3!
We hope you and your families all had a lovely Christmas break. We are so sad that we won't get to see all of you in person to hear all about them just yet.
But... we still want to hear from you so please send us an email to say hello and tell us what you've been up to!
firstname.lastname@example.org for Miss Keal and Miss Hudson
email@example.com for Mrs Birtchnell, Mrs Higgs and Ms McGuire.
Feel free to send us some pictures too (we'd love to see what you've been up to!).
Listen/read along to the story 'Rosie Revere, Engineer' by Andrea Beaty.
Log onto Times Tables Rock Stars and practice your times tables.
Once you've done that have a go at:
Super Maths Bowling Multiplication: https://mathsframe.co.uk/en/resources/resource/504/Super-Maths-Bowling-Multiplication
Coconut Multiples: https://www.topmarks.co.uk/times-tables/coconut-multiples
1) Log onto Purple Mash
2) Check your 2Dos and find '2Do: Spelling Quiz'.
3) Complete the spelling quiz and see how many you know how to spell!
Challenge: Have a go at creating your own spelling quiz on a piece of paper for someone at home.
Your activity today is to...
1) Log on to Purple Mash.
2) Check your 2Dos and complete '2Do: Practice typing CVC words' and '2Do: First High Frequency Words'
3) Go to home page > Tools > Communicating and Sharing: 2Email > click 2Email icon > Compose
Let's use this to keep in touch with each other while we can't all be together. Send your friends and your teachers some emails (remember to ask them questions that they have to reply to!)
Log onto your Rising Stars account and access one of the reading books that has been allocated to you. Aim to read for at least 15 minutes. Once you have finished the book you can take the quiz!
If you are unsure on how to access your allocated books, see the note on the Year 3 Class Page:
Log onto your Fitter Future account / find a Joe Wicks workout video on Youtube.
Compare your heartbeat from before you start your exercise and afterwards.
Explain to someone in your house (or email your teacher) why exercise is so important for us.
