Activities for Tuesday

To explore sentence structure

To start with can you read back over yesterday’s PowerPoint and if you need to you can also re-watch the video. Just to remind yourself of the four sentence types.

Can you write your must see location in the middle of the page and make a spider diagram with all the reasons you should go.

I’ve saved an example about Disneyland in the documents needed for today.

Today we are carrying on with our persuasion about our must see location.

You will need to write what this trip cannot be missed! You will need to use a range of sentence types. Try to include at least 4 things you can’t miss.

For example

Disneyland Paris is full of wonders where ever you go! There are so many attractions that are not to be missed. The legendary parades take place through-out the day, you'll be singing along and waving to all your favourite Disney stars as you hope the magic never ends. Also not to be missed is the firework show! Held in the evening, this incredible event will be the highlight of your trip.

Choose 10 words from the 3/4 word list and use them in a sentence. If you want to do a little extra you might want to do some rainbow writing, pyramid spelling, an acrostic poem or a nonsense story.

Today you will be fact finding. Go to and read up on the animals there. Can you email us on PurpleMash three of your most interesting facts?

Today we are moving onto quadrilaterals. Continue working through your home learning booklet and I will be uploading additional extensions each day for you to have a go at.

To refresh your knowledge on quadrilaterals you may want to start by looking at this clip: which looks at quadrilaterals and some other polygons. There is a PowerPoint for you to explore and an extension for you to have a go at after your challenge.

If you want to practise your times tables why not have a go at TTRS or one of these games:

Complete a fitness based activity. This can be inside or outside if you can do it safely.

You could follow Joe Wicks and his daily workout

You could complete some fitness dance through either Just Dance or the Fitness Marshall

Or alternatively you could complete a workout through fitter future. You should all have your log ons (if not, drop us an email:D)

Finally you might like just to complete a 3k walk in the glorious sunshine

What are relationships? How do you know?

Relationships are just how 2 or more people are connected, for example, teachers to the children, teachers with other teachers etc…

What relationships can you think of? What relationships are in your life?

Everyone you connect with is a relationship, whether it is good or bad. Below is an example of a recipe for a good relationship. Can you create your own? What do you think is the most important part?

If you feel like you’re missing your friends – why not send them an email?

On PurpleMash you can use: to send messages to anyone in Year 4.

Please remember to send us any work you complete at some point during the day on either PurpleMash or through to either or

We miss you and can’t wait to see you soon!
