WC: Monday 14th November 2022

At nursery this week we will be learning about the story ‘Pants’ by Giles Andreae.  https://youtu.be/Pchrn4a4V7c.

We will be thinking about using descriptive language for example, size, shapes, colours, etc.  We will be learning to use words like spotty, stripy etc.  We will also be thinking about why they are stretchy and conducting an experiment to see how far they can fling.

We will also be talking about how we stay safe and we are not allowed to look at other peoples pants.  I have a special bag of pants that we can look at.  We will be sharing this video https://youtu.be/-lL07JOGU5o
 

Maths

• Have a go at counting some items at home, this could be toys, teddies, food etc.  We are learning to touch each item once, to say the number to match and then the last number you say is how many there is.

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

PE - Monday 

• We will be going into the hall, to begin to learn to use the hall for PE. We will be recapping our game from last week. 
• We will be playing a game called Mr Men, we will be thinking about how we can move, for example, like Mr Tall, Mr Small, etc.
• We will also be learning to move in different ways, such as, walk, jog, skip, hop, tip toe etc.  

Library - Wednesdays

Please ensure your child has their reading book, orange reading record and bag in school.  

Computing - Thursday

This week we will be having our first computing lesson on the iPads. We will be learning to use Mini-Mash. You should have received a letter in September regarding how to login at home.  We will also be putting a login in the front of your child’s orange reading record this week.  

Things to remember:

• Please ensure your child has their book bag and water bottle with them every day labelled. 
• Please ensure all uniform is clearly labelled.  
• Children need a book bag or a bag big enough to fit a picture reading book inside.  
• Please ensure your child has wellies in class.
