Wednesday 7th July

Reading: Read for 20 -30 minutes.  If you can talk to someone about what you have read and talk about the setting of the story and how atmosphere is created.

Spelling: Please see the to-do sessions on your purple mash account.

Active 30: Do something active for 30 minutes (at least!) find an old Joe Wicks online to complete, Fitter Future, Go Noodle, do some Just Dance, simply turn on some music and dance or move your body.  Keeping active is important for your mental health.  We know exercise improves our mood.

Play Rehearsal - Practice your lines with someone at home and continue to practice and learn the words for the songs.  Use the web link below if you need access to the songs/script.

You can't have a debate on your own!  Instead, begin by re-listening to the story of 'The Island' and think of at least 3 points for and 3 against using the online link to the book.  Create a chart like the one on page 2 of the PDF.

Using the language prompts, choose which side you would like to be on and write 3 statements using the discussion language starters for each of the points on your side.

Look through the PPT and then choose one of the activities.  Don't do all 3 challenges!!
