Home Learning Policy Update Letter
Home Learning Expectations:
Home learning is set on a Friday and handed in on Wednesday.
Weekly home learning tasks are compulsory.
Creative:
Every Friday, we will send home a worksheet with a creative activity linking to our learning that week.
Key vocabulary will be added to this worksheet and the children should use and discuss this vocabulary while completing the activity.
Times Tables:
Every Friday, we will send home a worksheet with a times tables activity to complete.
As an optional extra, children can also practise their times tables on Times Tables Rockstars.
Reading:
We expect each child to record their reading in their Reading Record at least 4 times a week.
Your child will be given a school reading book (if they are still reading scheme/book band books or if they are a free reader and wish to take a book from our class library).
Please speak with your child's class teacher if home learning could not be completed.
If these activities are not completed at home (and the class teacher has not been made aware), the child will complete the home learning task during the school day to support their learning.
