For safeguarding purposes, we ask staff and families to follow these rules whenever
using video calling:
- An adult supervises children while they are using video calling (We may ask an adult to show themselves in the room before beginning a session)
- Staff, pupils and anyone else in their households must wear appropriate clothes
- Calls should not be held in bedrooms, and participants should take surroundings into account
- Children’s microphones must be on mute at the beginning of the call and when the member of staff instructs
- Children should have their actual name as their screen name so they are easily identifiable
- Language must be professional and appropriate – this includes family members in the background
- The meeting room ID and password should not be shared on any social media or public domain
- Pupils must leave the meeting call when their teacher asks them to – the teacher will always be the last person in the meeting
