WB: 29th September 2025

Hi Nursery!

Our Topic this half term will be Ourselves and our Senses.

This week, we are starting a new book: Pants! by Giles Andreae and Nick Sharratt.
This funny, colourful story features all kinds of pants: spotty, stripy, big, small, worn by lots of different animals. It is always a favourite with the children and is sure to bring lots of laughs!

Our learning activities will include a fun "Pants Flinging" session in the hall!  We will be exploring how stretchy (or elastic) different pairs of pants are, giving the children a hands-on way to understand and use the word elastic. We will also be designing our own pants in lots of different ways.  We are looking forward to a week full of giggles and learning!

We will be looking at lots of new descriptive language around pants and speaking to the children about our bodies and that our bodies belong to us.  We will be sharing this song - Talk PANTS with Pantosaurus.  We will be talking about how our pants are private and only for us to look at.

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week will be Twinkle Twinkle Little Star.  Here is the link - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with Mr Tumble.  We will also be looking at this version too – Twinkle Twinkle Chocolate Bar.

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book and their library book so we can change it.

We hope you all have a lovely week of learning and fun at Nursery!
