Road Safety 

This week we will be learning about how to stay safe near the roads.  We will be reminding children the importance of staying safe. We will be doing this through song and play.  Stop! Look! Listen! Think!.  We will be thinking about how to stay safe - Think! Hedgehog Road Safety-King of the Road (1998).  We will also be talking about car seats and why we need to use them.  

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week is Stop! Look! Listen! Think! Stop! Look! Listen! Think!

Maths

We will be learning about Positional Language.  We will be linking this learning to crossing the road safely.  We will be learning to use the vocabulary - in, on, under, through, behind and in front.  We using this catchy song to help us!  "In On Under"

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be beginning our learning about Rhyme! We will be reading rhyming books and see if we can notice the rhyme.  We will be playing games like cross the river and Silly Soup to see if we can identify rhyming words.  

Dough Disco

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book, wordless book and their library book so we can change it.  

Don't forget on Monday, we will be continuing our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session. 

Times are: 8.30–8.45am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.
