This Week’s Learning!

We are so excited to begin our new topic all about Traditional Tales! 

We will be learning to start our core book - Goldidlocks and the three bears.

We will also be discussing the story of Goldilocks and the three bears, focusing on the characters and the events in the story.  We will also be learning to sequence the story.  We will be making our own porridge and talking about how it changes.  

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our rhyme this week is:

Maths

In Maths, we are going to be learning about the vocabulary of height.  We will be learning to talk about height, in terms of shortest, shorter, short, tall, taller, tallest etc.  We will be learning to order items by item and talking about what we notice.  

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be recapping our learning about initial sounds and introducing a special friend — our Robot Reggie! He will help us begin blending and segmenting in a fun and engaging way.

Library

We will be changing books on Monday this week.  

Please make sure your child brings in:

• Their library book

• Their wordless reading book
