Welcome to Year 2 - 2025/2026

Autumn Term

On 15th December we went to Windsor Castle after learning about Castles and Coronations. We had a fun workshop learning about Monarchs.

We saw the Royal flag was up when we were there and then it changed to the Union Jack Flag. Unfortuately we did not see the King leave.

We did have an amazing day and saw the royal Christmas Trees!

In November and December we have been learning about Monet. We explored how to mix colours and making different shades.

We then explored different painting techniques. We used paint brushes, sponges and fingers.

We created a landscape by sketching and drawing. Here is some of our work in action!

In October we have been celebrating Black History Month!

We learnt about Notting Hill Carnival and then we created our own festival hats. We then met with Year 2 Pearl and had our own Notting Hill Carnival!

We learnt about Simone Biles. We learnt about why she was significant. We then drew Simone Biles and followed a step by step guide.
