WEDNESDAY 22ND OCTOBER

As wel all sit at the camp fire, ready for snores, we wante to update you on another great day!

We have had abseiling, trapeze, problem solving, orienteering and zip wire today.

Group 1

This morning THERE IS NO I IN TEAM had abseiling! Starting the day on a high (literally) with everyone in the group reaching the top either for a quick wave or to spider-man down the tower.

Mustafa, Cooper, Alfie D, Maya, Grace, Connell managed to abseil down the tower!  They were amazing and showed great courage.

Cooper has shown amazing support and leadership skills today helping others- I think they may need to give him his own PGL jacket by the end of the week!

Problem solving was next and our team work was amazing! Marni and Freddie gave amazing advice to their team during the tangle problem which had a super simple solution in the end.  Emily had some amazing ideas for the bucket challenge and it was a twisty solution.

Lunch was one of the highlights for Mustafa and he kept regular check ins on the time for the next meal!! Everyone has been tucking into lots of fruit and Grace was loving her salad and spag bol!

This afternoon we started with Trapeze.  Maya was the first one up and she made quick work reaching the trapeze bar both times.  We had the longest belay line going half way across the field as we worked together! Alfie pulled off not one by two one armed trapeze grabs! Harley was amazing and faced his fear of heights climbing near to the platform twice. Connell climbed so fast and then flapped fairy-style on the way down.  Darcie was our last climber and went up so fast! She caught the trapeze effortlessly!!

GROUP 2

The Best Lidders day started with a very much needed hearty breakfast. Even though we felt like walking zombies , we pulled together as amazingly to solve set of problems. Tilly was a great team leader and encouraged everyone. Helaina was a creative thinker, spotting patterns to help us win tiles. Faye was amazing and surprised herself with her perseverance. George made a new friend, a Ropey snake.
We excitedly March across the fields for abseiling. Wow the tower was high. Up first was Rada and Lily. Rada wasted no time and acted like a pro, showing us all how it’s done. Lily had the wobbles at the top but went for it, with everyone cheering from below. Riley and Helaina were so quick they practically flew down. Emmy , Tilly, Jack and Anayah braved the stairs to give us a wave from the top.
After a yummy lunch we headed to our orienteering session. We had to follow a map. Although Mrs Higgs had to keep taking children to the toilet. We sang our hearts out on the way to trapeze. Riley was first to go and launched himself at the swing. Helaina was like Spider-Man. Jack found it tricky at first but showed great determination and on the third go, grabbed the bar one handed. Emmy was so tall she could grab the bar without leaving the platform. George was so confident, he even did the Dab while hanging in mid air. Lily was desperate for Mrs Higgs to have a go, she tried 4 times and nailed on her last attempt. Unfortunately we ran out of time for Mrs Higgs to have a turn-she was sooo disappointed. However she has promised to do the zip line tomorrow.😳

GROUP 3

The shooting stars headed to abseiling first. Freya was first down the wall and showed everyone how it was done! Marshal and Emilio then braved the wall themselves coming down like Spider-Man.

Next was zip lining. Everyone was looking forward to this! Both Frankie and  Georgie ended up going hands free, with Frankie laying back so far she looked like she was having a sleep.

After lunch we all went into the woods to collect sticks for tonight campfire. Mia was quite clearly the stick collecting pro, she could barely walk with them all.

After lunch we had trapeze. Filip was the first to climb the pole and jump for the trapeze, he was so brave. He was closely followed by everyone else. Frankie fought her fear and had a go. Kai went so fast and caught the trapeze along with Samuel.

Throughout the day Amy has been a fantastic shooting stars photographer and worked amazing as part of a team our last activity - orienteering.

GROUP 4

PLB's had another early start and as always the team were very hungry.  After a lovely breakfast we were off to our first activity zip wiring our way across the park. Ruby was super keen and showed us how it was done with a confident leap to start us all off. Evan enjoyed the zip wire stating it isn't actually that fast just high.
Henry and Mrs P climbed the towers to conquer the fear, taking in the sights and giving the instructor a high five.

From leaping to stepping off we sang our way to our next activity abseiling, which was legendary, Alfie needed a couple of warm ups but showed how important not giving up is as third times a charm as they say and he said it was brilliant and he was so glad he got there. Tate gave Tom Cruise a run for his money, true mission impossible style.

After a much needed lunch we collected firewood for our camp fire then went orienteering. Rory, Daniel and their team were very enthusiastic and keen but just kept forgetting to actually use the map as well stick together so they also had a little side game of hide and seek.

Last team activity was trapeze. Logan went first, he climbed the pole like as if he was second nature, jumped, caught the bar and even managed a chin up - real little action man!! Maddie showed great team work and strength helping pull the ropes and help out whenever it wasn't her turn. Everly took the whole day in her stride, leaping, climbing and just generally dangling in the air as if she does it everyday.

Check back tomorrow for more updates of our last full day
