In PSHE, we have been looking at defining the word 'attraction'. We made posters supporting diversity and how important it is to be welcoming. As a school community, we chose the words safe, proud and free to express who you were as a person.

This week in Amethyst, the children have been learning about Evolution and Adaptation. After exploring who Charles Darwin was and understanding the meanings of these key terms, they discussed how living things change over many generations to survive more successfully in their environments. The class looked at examples such as polar bears developing thick fur for warmth and giraffes having long necks to reach tall trees, helping them to see how adaptations support survival.
