Hello Nursery!
We are happy to welcome you to Galley Hill Nursery. We hope you are feeling excited for a fun, engaging year ahead.
Our Nursery class page will be updated weekly with news and activities. You can look forward to seeing what we have been exploring and learning.
Each week will offer exciting learning opportunities. Children will take part in Maths, Phonics, Computing, PE, Woodlands, and Literacy sessions.
Once the children are ready, Computing and PE will take place on alternate weeks. In the Autumn term, Nursery children do not need a PE kit. It is useful to have one prepared for later in the year.
Please ensure your child has a pair of named wellington boots. These will remain at school. We will be going outside in all weather.
The children will learn a Hello song and a Days of the Week song. We will sing these daily. A new nursery rhyme will be introduced each week. Please check the class page regularly to see which rhyme we are learning.
During the first few weeks, we will focus on settling in. Children will get to know the teachers. They will make new friends. They will become familiar with the Nursery routine.
Mrs Parsons is the class teacher on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. She will be supported by Miss Kent-Bourne each day.
Ms Handel is the class teacher on Friday. She will also be supported by Miss Kent-Bourne.
If you have any questions, please speak to a teacher at the door or gate during drop-off or pick-up. We are happy to help.
Thank you,
Mrs Parsons and Ms Handel
