Hi Nursery!

Our Topic this half-term will be Festivals and Celebrations.

This Week's learning:

This week we will be reading The Colour Monster.  We will be talking about our feelings, we will be using the words - happy, sad, calm, fear/scared, loved, angry.  The Colour Monster.  We will be having a go at making our own Colour Monsters too!  We will also be starting to learn our Christmas songs.  

 

Computing

On Monday, we will be Computing.  In Computing, we will be linking our maths learning and having a go at counting 1 to 3. 

 

Phonics

In Phonics, we will be learning to use musical instruments and having a go at learning to distinguish between different sounds and talking about sounds.    We will also be reading Rhyming stories and thinking about the words that rhyme at the end of the word.  

 

Nursery Rhyme of the Week

Our Nursery Rhyme of the Week will be Santa Shark.  We are continuing to learn our new Christmas songs.  

 

Maths

 

Number of the Week - 3

This week our number of the week is number 3.  We will be thinking about what the number is and how we can show it, using fingers, drawing and objects.  We will also be looking at Number blocks to help us. Here is the link to number 3.  BBC iPlayer - Numberblocks - Series 1: Three

 

 

Weekly Parent Sharing Book Session

On Monday there will be our Weekly Parents Sharing Book Session. 

Times are: 8.30–8.40am and 2.55pm - 3.10pm.  In the nursery classroom.  Please note: Pudding Lane will be open at 2.55pm for you.  

 

Library

Library will be on Monday.  Please ensure your child has their orange reading book, wordless book and their library book so we can change it.
